Hello my name is Mari. I am a kindergarten teacher in Japan but I am now in Australia, Brisbane doing a course in Early Childhood Education to extend my knowledge and skills. I am really enjoying my laid-back Australian lifestyle. Time is abundant so I have alot of it to experiment some recipes, treasure hunting at garage sales and even take up roller blading! Even though I miss my busy Japanese life, family and friends, I still have my darling with me.

There are many similarities and differences in both Australian and Japanese early childhood education. I found it very interesting to actually experience the two countries' early childhood education systems as I have studied and also worked in both coutries as a kindergarten teacher. I would not say which country's system is better as both of them have their good and weak points.
